Integrity
We do the right thing on and off the mats, and we teach our students to do the same.
Gracie Barra Long Beach opened in 2009 to share Brazilian Jiu‑Jitsu with the community. Today we teach individuals, families, kids from age 3 and law enforcement officers of Los Angeles County, following the program created by Master Carlos Gracie Jr.

Professor Rodrigo was born in Manaus, Brazil, and began training Jiu‑Jitsu at age six. With the support of his family, he moved to the United States in 2009 and quickly fell in love with Long Beach. Since then, he has dedicated himself to sharing Jiu‑Jitsu with the community and making it accessible to everyone.
He has trained under many legends of the sport and received his belt promotions directly from Master Carlos Gracie Jr. A lifelong competitor, he is a World Championship finalist, a European champion and a multiple national champion in Switzerland, Sweden and Germany.
His mission is to make sure every student learns the core values of Jiu‑Jitsu (discipline, respect and perseverance) and becomes a martial artist who gives back to the community.
